You are trusting us with photographs of your home, so this page is written to be read, not skimmed past. It explains exactly what we collect, why, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do.

Who we are
Vastmet Ltd, trading as DreamMyRoom, is the controller of the personal information described on this page. Our registered details are at the foot of this page, and you can reach us at any time through our contact form.
What we collect
- Your email address, so we can create your account, send you a sign-in link and reach you about your design.
- Photographs of your room, including the main view you choose.
- Your room brief: approximate measurements, room type, fixed features, what must stay, what you want changed, styles, colours you like and dislike, your budget band and any requirements you tell us.
- Your design: the concepts we create, the one you select, your refinement, your Final Design, your Room Plan and the document you can download.
- Your order: the amount paid, the currency, the status and the payment reference from our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
- Messages you send us through the contact form: your name, email, the category you choose, any reference you give and your message.
- Operational records needed to run the service reliably: records of the design work performed, quality checks, and payment events received from our payment provider.
We do not use website analytics, advertising or tracking. See our Cookie Policy for the strictly necessary cookies we do use.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To create and deliver your Complete Room Design — performance of our contract with you.
- To take payment and keep order records — performance of our contract, and our legal obligations for financial records.
- To answer your enquiries — our legitimate interest in supporting our customers, and performance of our contract where your enquiry concerns your order.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse — our legitimate interest in protecting the service and our customers.
- To meet legal and accounting obligations — compliance with a legal obligation.
Your room photographs and AI-assisted design
Your photographs are what make your design yours, so we treat them carefully. They are stored privately, are never public, and are never listed, sold or used for advertising. Pages that show them use short-lived private links that only work for you.
Your design is AI-assisted. To create and check your concepts, your photographs and brief are sent to our AI providers — Google (design generation and quality checking) and OpenAI (used as a fallback for image generation). They process this content in order to produce your design for us.
We are reviewing and will state here the specific data-use terms of the provider accounts we use, including their position on using customer content to train models. Until we can state that accurately, we will not make a claim about it either way. If this matters to you before you order, please ask us.
Where your information is processed
Some of our providers operate internationally, which can mean your information is processed outside the UK. Where that happens, transfers must be covered by an approved safeguard such as UK adequacy or standard contractual clauses. We are confirming the exact processing regions and safeguards for each provider and will set them out here specifically rather than leave you with a vague assurance.
How long we keep things
- Unfinished briefs started without an account are deleted automatically after 30 days without use, along with the photographs attached to them. Coming back to a brief starts that 30 days again.
- Your paid room design — the photographs, brief, concepts, refinement, Final Design and Complete Room Plan — stays available while your account is open, so you can return to the design you bought. We do not apply an automatic expiry date to it, and we do not promise to store it permanently. You can ask us to delete it at any time, and we may also remove it if we stop offering the service, in which case we will give you reasonable notice so you can download your Room Plan first.
- If you ask us to delete your data or close your account, we close the account immediately and delete your room photographs, brief, designs and the personal details on your account within 30 days. We keep only what we legitimately have to — records needed for accounting and tax, fraud prevention, legal claims or a dispute — and remove unnecessary personal identifiers from those records where we can.
- Contact enquiries are kept for 24 months and then deleted.
- Order and payment records are kept for the statutory record-keeping period that applies to us — normally six years — and are not removed by ordinary room or account deletion. We never store your card details; card payments are handled by Stripe.
- Operational and security records, such as request limits and processing logs, are kept for up to 12 months, or a shorter period where a particular record does not need that long.
You can ask us to delete your room, your photographs and your account at any time — signed in, this is on your account page — and we will, apart from records we must keep by law.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another provider; and
- withdraw consent, where we have relied on your consent.
To use any of these rights, contact us through the contact form. We respond within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
Children
DreamMyRoom is intended for adults. The service is not designed for or directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
We keep this notice up to date as the service develops, and we date it above so you can see when it was last reviewed.
